Most work at Diablillos has focused on the the Oculto deposit, a high sulphidation epithermal silver-gold deposit. Mineralization starts near surface and is completely oxidized to over 200m. Deeper mineralization is gold rich, transitioning to gold-silver.
Oculto is a high sulphidation epithermal silver-gold deposit ‐ mineralization often extends to depth vs. low sulphidation. Preliminary metallurgical test work indicates that excellent recoveries (e.g., 81% silver and 86% gold) can be achieved using a flowsheet comprising crushing, grinding and agitated vat leaching.
Oculto is a high sulphidation epithermal Ag-Au deposit – excellent potential at depth. There is evidence of several high grade gold zones at the bottom of the pit that have not been well drill tested.
PEA in QI 2018
The Oculto deposit at Diablillos will have a Preliminary Economic Assesment (PEA) that will demonstrate production size potential, preliminary economic estimates, and outline work program. Diablillos alone has an enormous organic growth potential from satellite deposits, high-grade gold zone at Oculto, and Northern Arc gold targets.
