Hernán Zaballa, Legal Counsel, Chairman

zaballa.jpgHernán Zaballa, Legal Counsel, Chairman, is a senior partner at Zaballa Carchio Abogados in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was admitted to the Bar in 1989, and practices in the areas of Energy and Natural Resources (Mining and Oil & Gas) as well as in Administrative and Regulatory Law. Hernan was formerly a director of the Argentine subsidiaries of Barrick, Peñoles, Northern Orion, Newcrest, and Polimet/Yamana, as well as Vice President of Pan American Silver’s subsidiaries in the country. He is the author of several articles in specialized publications, and co-authored “Establishing and Conducting a Mining Business in Argentina”. In addition to memberships in the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the International Bar Association, he is a member of CAEM, and FUNDAMIN as well as the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Association and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). Hernán also teaches law at the Universidad del Museo Social Argentina where he is Professor of Rural, Mining, and Environmental Law.

Willem Fuchter PhD PGeo, President & CEO

fuchter.jpgWillem Fuchter PhD PGeo, President & CEO has over 25 years experience working in mines and exploration projects in Africa, Asia, North and South America, Europe, and the Middle East for both junior and major mining companies including Riofinex, Falconbridge Gold, Kinross, and Ivanhoe Mines. A long-term permanent resident of Argentina, Willem has run junior companies in Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, and Venezuela being largely responsible for project generation, general exploration management, reserve and resource reporting, and fund raising activities. He has degrees from Rhodes University in South Africa and Queens University in Canada, and is a registered Professional Geoscientist in the Province of Ontario.

Zula Kropivnitski, CFO

Zula Kropivnitski, CFO, is a certified general accountant with over 10 years of international experience in the resource sector, mainly with public companies listed on Canadian stock exchanges. Zula is a CFO of Planet Mining Exploration and Meryllion Resources Corp and former CFO of Electric Metals Inc and Iron Tank Resources Corp. She is also a former controller of African Queen Mines and Sacre-Coeur Minerals. Ms Kropivnitski received her general professional accounting designation from the Certified General Accountant Association of British Columbia, and later obtained a designation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants based in London, UK.

Eugenio Ponte, Senior VP

ponte.jpgEugenio Ponte, Senior VP, has a degree in International Affairs and has been active in the mining industry in South America for the last 15 years involved in Administration and Logistics and managing Community Relations and Environmental Issues. In addition, he has managed exploration programs in environmentally sensitive areas such as the Amazon Basin as well as the Altiplano/Puna regions of the Cordillera, and has been general manager of alluvial gold operations in northwestern Argentina.

Dave Doherty, Director

Dave Doherty, Director - brings over 20 years of investment and finance experience to the company. He is founder and president of Rockshield Capital, a diversified investment and venture capital firm that make early stage seed investments. Rockshield assists with financings, identifies acquisition targets, develops strategic plans, supports operations and implements exit strategies. Prior to joining, Mr. Doherty was an investment adviser with Canaccord Capital, Canada’s largest independent securities dealer covering the North American capital markets specializing in developing, structuring and financing venture and growth companies in the Resource sector. Mr. Doherty has sat on numerous boards including Organigram Holdings and presently is on the Board of Saber Capital, to be renamed Emblem Cannabis. He holds a degree from Simon Fraser University, with a major in finance.

Eduardo Perlicz, Director

perlicz.jpgEduardo Perlicz, Director, has over 30 years’ experience in the mining business with expertise in trading, mining and metals, investment banking, and project financing. He specialized in mining and refining for Latin America at Goldman Sachs, and was general manager for metals in the Americas for Barclays Bank; in addition, he was in charge of precious metals trading for South America at Mase Westpac of New York. Eduardo has served as an independent director of Bowmore Exploration Ltd, and serves as a member of the Advisory Board of UrAmerica PLC. Mr Perlicz studied Business Administration at Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY), in New York, majoring in Marketing and Management.

John DeCooman, Director

decooman.jpgJohn DeCooman, Director, has been Vice President, Business Development and Strategy at Silver Standard Resources since 2009. John’s experience prior to joining Silver Standard includes over 15 years of mining project finance and advisory responsibilities at Candente Resource Corporation, Deutsche Bank, Alex Brown and Standard Bank, as well as corporate positions in finance, business development and exploration. Mr. DeCooman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science degree from the Colorado School of Mines.

Angus Innes, Exploration Manager

innes.jpgAngus Innes, Exploration Manager, has over 30 years experience in mineral exploration, mine geology, and geological consulting in Africa and South America. Prior to locating to Argentina in 1994, Angus worked for Messina Transvaal Development in South Africa rapidly rising to the position of Chief Geologist. Thereafter, he became Regional Chief Geologist for Gencor Ltd working in both South Africa and Namibia before being transferred to South America where he was responsible for exploration in Argentina and Bolivia. He then worked for Cardero Resource Corp and Alexander Mining on projects in Argentina before joining Silver Standard Resources as Exploration Manager for projects in Argentina and Chile. Angus earned a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Jose Antonio Cires, GIS Database Manager

He has been actively involved in the design, creation and maintenance of geological databases, and is an experienced user of GIS and Resource Estimation software.
